Reflection
This project started with in-depth research into Joseph Joseph’s brand values and product portfolio. By analyzing their focus on functional, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing kitchenware, I was able to align my design direction with their brand DNA while identifying a gap in their electronic product offerings. This groundwork guided critical design decisions — from defining user needs to creating a solution that blends seamlessly into the modern kitchen. Through this process, I deepened my understanding of how brand research informs product positioning and design language, while also improving my skills in developing compact, user-centered electronic products.
Slide™ Portable Bag Sealer is designed to make food storage smarter and simpler. Partnering with Joseph Joseph, this project explores the brand’s expansion into compact electronic tools. Slide™ helps users easily reseal snack and food bags to keep contents fresh, reduce waste, and eliminate the need for bulky clips or containers. With a user-friendly slide-to-seal function and clean, cheerful design, it fits seamlessly into modern kitchens while offering practical everyday convenience.
